Entries

Everything you store in Seclave is an entry. The device holds up to 500 entries. Each entry has five fields:

  • Label - the name of the entry, up to 16 characters. The label identifies the entry and must be unique. Seclave uses it to sort and find your entries.

  • Group - an optional category, up to 8 characters. Entries that share a group are listed together, which makes them easy to find later.

  • Username - a username, card number or anything similar, up to 50 characters.

  • Password - a password, PIN or anything used when logging in, up to 50 characters.

  • Optional - any extra information, such as an account number or a date, up to 83 characters.

You create entries with Manage -> New and change them later with Manage -> Change; see Managing entries. You can view and use them from the main-menu views described in Finding and using an entry.

When you first look at an entry you decide, each time, whether to read a field on the device’s own screen or to have Seclave hand it to the computer. Both are covered in Finding and using an entry and Typing passwords to the computer.
